Dudeldorf Castle

brief description:

embedded in the Eifel region of Rhineland-Palatinate, this ancient castle is a momentous site for the small village of Dudeldorf. Situated in the very heart of Dudeldorf, on an alleyway lined with historic buildings, the castle has a small forecourt (gravel and cobble stones) with a fountain and ancient trees. The façade with original windows has been freshly renovated, a small flight of stone steps leads to the wooden entrance door. The modernised interior, furnished in contemporary style, serves as register office. The rear part of the building is private property and, therefore, closed off and not accessible to the public.
